Jon: Jolly melancholy musings on how modern life mangles the unwary. Written in 2007 - in prescient expectation of the financial crash, and times of tension and fear. And ever since there's been one sort of crisis after another, so it still sounds topical. Either that, or I'm the modern Nostradamus... ;) We recorded a much more live version of this at the University of Northampton in 2017 - There's even a video for that one. I'd like to say the students and me intended the video to be post ironic, note I'd like to say....This version was re-recorded with Gav at Magic Garden in 2017/18. Gavin came up with idea of a duet lead vocal with Karen on this track.
