about

Jon: You know how it is, you wake up one day and the love of your life is gone. You don't? lucky you, Well, if you'd noticed the "Red Sky"in the morning you might not have been quite so surprised. Still you've got a really nice cup of morning coffee to bring you to your senses so there's always a silver (top) lining, isn't there? The song is oddly constructed for a pop tune. funky, yet acoustic, upbeat for a downer of a song, with repeats in 3 rather than 4, some deceptive twists here and there... the Verse is more like a chorus and vice versa. Karl forced us to de-house it in the final mix ( I quite liked the rather EDM/acid House keyboards in the initial versions). But hey, I only write 'em.
